Book Description..

In "Dreams and Struggles: Living the Nigerian Revival," Justin Kingland offers an intimate, gripping memoir that serves as both a personal chronicle and a compelling commentary on the transformative possibilities of the New Nigeria Project — a national vision aimed at overhauling governance, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social justice in Nigeria.

Navigating the intricate labyrinth of Nigerian politics and social change, Kingland draws us into his world, beginning with an in-depth introduction that delves into his roots, aspirations, and formidable achievements. His story takes us on a captivating journey through his engagement with notable figures like Peter Obi, highlighting both the promise and pitfalls of political life. Kingland doesn't hold back as he details the struggles and betrayals he has encountered, from backroom dealings to political machinations that would dishearten the less resolute.

As a member of the Obidient movement and leader of various political action groups, Kingland provides an insider's perspective on the forces shaping Nigeria's future. But this book is more than just an autobiography or political analysis; it is also a clarion call for change and a roadmap for the reforms needed to realise the New Nigeria Project. Here, Kingland outlines his ideas for a new social contract, one that demands the full participation of all Nigerians and prioritizes national progress over partisan divides.

"Dreams and Struggles" is more than a memoir; it's a thought-provoking treatise on the very essence of nationhood and a hopeful testament to the resilience of the Nigerian spirit. Whether you are deeply invested in Nigerian politics or newly acquainted with the country's complexities, this book is an enlightening guide to understanding both one man's journey and a nation's path toward renewal.
